In both the tech and video gaming industry, it has become nearly impossible to get to an unveiling without the public already having a good idea of what’s in store. With that said, no one should be surprised to learn that information related to Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox releases have already hit the Internet.
This has to be disappointing to Microsoft developers and marketing staff who have gone to great lengths to keep this information under wraps. The company even went so far as to indicate they would not be making an appearance at the upcoming Gamescom Conference.
So What’s the news? Well, it appears that Microsoft will be releasing its theme-based Xbox One S models around two of its most popular gaming series, Gears of War 4 and Halo 5: Guardians. Based on some pictures released over the Internet, it looks like the Gears of War console with be available on the 2 TB system.
Given Microsoft’s propensity to bundle games with new console releases, information was also leaked that the $100 Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition would be released with the console for an estimated price of around $450, though that number is just conjecture at this time.
As for the rumors surrounding the release of the upcoming Halo 5, tipsters are reporting that they are seeing nothing significantly different would seem to be in the offering. The game looks as though it is scheduled to be bundled with 1 TB Xbox One S system. There was no further information related to a release date or potential pricing.
Xbox enthusiasts will want to note that the first release of the 1 TB Xbox One S console is scheduled to begin selling to the general public sometime in August. Rumors suggest the initial rollout will only include the most expensive model with the lesser expensive models to hit the market just as sales begin to simmer. It is further anticipated that Gears of War 4 will be the first game released that was developed around Xbox’s new high dynamic range technology.
As the release date of the new console grows nearer, one can expect the rumor mill to really start heating up.
